Introduction
In this project, I chose a Kitchen scissor as an observed object.
Through a variety of experiences ranging from the development of graphic form to composition and colour, develop visual vocabularies
and an aesthetic understanding of how content and message impact form and communication.
It starts with a drawing (by hand) with a pencil, a simple flat profile outline of the object.
Refine fine-tune the quality of the graphic form to a level of perfection.
TYPO GRAPHIC FORM
Translate and create 18 different typo graphic versions of the silhouette graphic form by using phonetic or non phonetic typographical signs from the key board.
PHOTO GRAPHIC FORM
-Paint the object by using a matte white spray pain.
-Explore 18 different various parts of the object as a close-up photo graphic image, focusing on an interesting part or an interesting feature of the object.
-The other photos can be seen at the end of this page.
3-D FORMS
-Print the graphic, typo graphic and photo graphic formsonto a flat light-weight board.
-Cut the images in three different ways;
- parallel multi cuts (score and fold to create sharp steps)for the graphic form;
- diagonal multi cuts (score and fold to create soft waves)for the typo graphic form;
- concentric multi cuts (partly cut to create a 3-D depth)for the photo graphic form.
-Photograph all 3-D formas and document your exploration.
3-D CUBES
-Place each image into a template of a cube.
-Add in each composition the word from COMPOSITIONS / GRID.
